"I purchased the essential weekender in black. Initially on the concept of being able to open it so easily (due to the magnetic closure) and having close by (proximity) on the plane was the reason I purchased it. But when I took it on the plane for a long haul trip to Paris I became so disappointed. It was too big to fit under the seat in front of me. It was very awkward. But I think it would be a better bag for a trip taken in a car. To put in the back seat. I would not recommend buying it for the plane as a carry on. The bag cannot and should not be checked due to the magnetic closure. I would not trust it as it could be opened so easily."
